UNIT 3- TALL TALES, MYTHS AND LEGENDS
DAY 2 OF 4
In this unit we are learning what makes a story a tall tale. We will listen to some of these stories and create our own. You will have the option to share your story with all of the other third graders.
To do:
- Listen to our weekly read aloud we chose
- Select books
- Listen to one of the tall tales
- You have free choice of which story you listen to
- Create your own tall tale
- Mark this lesson done in Google Classroom
READ ALOUD
While we are selecting our books we can listen to our read aloud that we voted on. If you are at home you can listen by clicking the button below. You will need our database password that is posted in our Google Classroom.
BOOK EXCHANGE
While we listen to our read aloud we select new books. If you are at home you can choose a book on Sora. See your Google Classroom Stream for directions. You will Sign in with Google.

Create your own
Now that you have listened to a couple of these examples of tall tales try to create your own. In Google Classroom you will find an assignment under the graded topic called "Create Your Tall Tale".
