-Meet the class in the hall and direct them to table spots
-Today our letter is L,

-Take students back to the everybody section and have them show you the L shelf
-Bring students together and share two books, one L and the other a new book
-Pick a student to take each of these books as their book for the day
-Students should have their blue book with them
-Run checkout on the back computer and when you scan their book also stamp the letter in the workbook
(You are stamping the first letter of the author's last name)
-Students return to their seats after checking out their book
-When book exchange is done you can bring everyone to the rug, they should know their seats
-Today we are reviewing parts of the book
-Hold up the story Owl Moon and ask students to identify the different parts of the book (cover, pages, spine)
-Read Owl Moon
-Play listening game (on sub page) have kids close their eyes and you play the different videos to see if kids can guess the sound of the animals
-Show students the page in their workbook they are going to do today(you can see it on the sub page)
-Students are going back to tables to draw and color this page, they draw what they would find if they went owling.
